Love needs to be cultivated

Who Or What Is Your Hope?

It’s hard for people to imagine that their hope and very existence rest with one man.

A simple sacrifice made changed the course of history and eternity.

How do you wrap your mind around your only hope being in a man named Jesus and he’s the Son of God!

It’s easier to believe in something more real or realistic as you being the savior of your soul and determinant of where you’ll end up if need be.

If only it was that simple to choose where you’ll go at the end of your days. Your life being your own to decide what to do, where to go and who to believe.

Well the truth is you do have that choice and only you can make it.

The question is.. “Do you put your hope in you and your ability to save your own soul?”

What if it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you are a good person and treat others fairly?

The truth is you can and do choose where you spend eternity. You can choose to put your hope in Jesus or in something and someone else including you.

If Jesus is fictional or just a prophet then how you live and what you put your hope in doesn’t matter.

However, if Jesus is the Son of God, then it does matter how you live your life as well as the path you choose.

As for me, I believe in Jesus and he is the Lord of my life!

Now if Jesus isn’t real and as long as I treat people right and walk in love with them as I try to do the right thing most of the time is still a win win situation for me. If God doesn’t exist and there is nothing to believe in besides my ability…it’s still a win win. There’s no heaven or hell or I simply cease to exist then I’ll never know I existed…win win.

But… if there’s is a God and Jesus is the Son of God and he is the only way… it’s a bigger win win because I can’t save myself and I need Jesus because he is the only way to the Father God and eternal life in heaven.

Something to think about… “Why do you believe in what you believe? and How will that impact you if you are wrong?”

If you say, “It doesn’t matter…What if it does? How would you feel? Is it a chance you’re willing to take because you have the right to choose, believe or not believe?

You decide, I’ll love you either way!

It’s all about “Love”

Purpose to do all things in and through the eyes and strength of love.

No matter what happens you can be assured that what you’ve done, was done with the right heart and motives.

God sees the heart above actions, words, thoughts.. all things!

Our words and actions justify or condemn (Matthew 12:37 37 – For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”)

But our heart will always betray us with the truth to God. (Jeremiah 17:10 – But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”)

Knowing who you are in God brings an unspeakable joy. You can’t describe it but you truly feel it. When you know how much God loves you, it only amplifies the joy you feel because you will get an idea of how valuable and special you are to Him!

No matter what we face in life, God is there with us. He will strengthen us even shield us when war wages all around.

Love, How Hard Can It Be?

 Really, how hard can it be to love one another? I mean come on if you can’t love them at least learn to like them or even more then that fake it, until you do…hopefully.

Well, that’s fine but that’s not what Jesus commanded us to do. He said for us to love one another. So, if he said it, it can be done.

How so? Glad you asked, the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts. So now let’s see.

We have God’s love, which is unconditional shed abroad in our hearts. The same type of love that he has towards us when we lie, steal. cheat, commit fornication adultery, murder, sin or just treat others bad or don’t want to be bothered with him (God). The same love that allows us to receive forgiveness, we have on the inside of us.

If that’s the case, what’s the hard part?

The hard part is our feelings, emotions, understanding, in other words, our flesh and mindset/rational. These things and many others  keeps us from being willing and/or staying the course of walking in love with people, especially those that have wronged us and a society that says, you don’t have to forgive.

Change your perception of what it means to forgive. Don’t see it as letting someone off the hook. See it as freeing yourself from the bondage of negative emotions so that you can move beyond the pain and disappointment. Then, it will become easier to love others in time.

It’s the God kind of Love (unconditional) that shows we are children of God not our words. Remember Jesus said, “A new commandment I give you, that you should love one another as I have loved you, you should love one another. By this all men will know you are my disciples, if you have love one to another”. (John 13:34-35)

The way we love is what sets us apart!

Love yourself more than you dislike or even hate others to not stay in emotional bondage. You’ll be glad you did!
